The JREP evaluation is authorized by Section 16 of Senate Bill 1510. The Legislative Assembly requires that the Oregon Criminal Justice Commission (CJC) evaluate the implementation of the Justice Reinvestment Equity Program and monitor the progress of subgrants. To facilate this evaluation, the CJC has convened an advisory committee, and it has contracted with external evaluators. By September 30, 2024, the CJC will publish a report detailing the progress of the evaluation and recommendations for additional evaluation needs.
